Making room...

For any start-up business owner, in order to track one’s progress, you have to set goals and have milestones - I have just ticked off one of mine. I have officially committed to my own dedicated office space and showroom, where I can design all my custom heirlooms and keep my ready-to-ship stock on hand. My wish was to make this space available in order to invite and meet clients for a coffee and give everyone the opportunity to physically see my work.

My showroom can be found in The Junction Offices of Garlington Estate in Hilton, KZN. I chose this venue for the safety and security element - something very important in my line of work - but also for the breath-taking surrounds and scenery. I overlook a huge, green field where I can see Nguni grazing daily - I have always been an outdoors, view appreciating and a nature-loving person so when I found this space in the Junction, I knew this was where I was supposed to be!

After working in my living room for the past 3 years I decided it was time to separate work from home. My packaging started taking over my living area and my working hours extended into the evenings. I also felt as though I was missing out on being able to meet and connect with my clients and that is why the showroom became an important additional element to the office space itself. My dream for the future is to open up showrooms in other parts of the world as I have many international clients that I would love to meet too.

But for now, you will find me here, in KZN and I couldn’t be happier! If you would like to pop in for a coffee, discuss a custom piece or simply just play with some “frosting”, I would love to meet you but please note, that all meetings will be by appointment only.

Hope to see you soon!
